— Holly Hayman-Brennan —
head trainer/show coach
Holly currently heads up the Con Brio Show team and coaches advanced riding lessons with a focus in show jumping. Holly has competed both nationally and abroad finding success both in the Big Eq and jumper rings up to the Grand Prix level. Holly took a short hiatus from showing during 2014 to focus on starting a family however that didn’t slow her down as a coach. In 2014 Holly had students compete in the Canadian FEI children’s qualifiers, the Canadian Inter-Provincial Equestrian Championships, OUEA finals, and the Royal Winter Fair. She hopes to rejoin her students in the ring as both a rider and a trainer for the 2015 season and continue to produce top competitors.
— Cayden Hill —
Novice Instruction
Cayden is a recent addition to the program at Con Brio but no stranger to the Con Brio Family. Cayden is a seasoned competitor with a record including not only Ontario A shows but WEF, Aiken, Vermont, and HITS Ocala where he was a working student for Con Brio under the guidance of Allana Featherstone. During the 2014 competitive season Cayden found himself with top prizes in both the OHJA and CET medal classes. Now in his second year at Western Cayden is captain of the Western University OUEA team and is training towards his future goals of representing Canada at the Pan Ams and Olympic Games in Modern Pentathlon. We are privileged to welcome him as part of the team this year as our beginner riding instructor.
OUR SCHOOL HORSES
Mick Jagger
Jagger is 16.3hh aged warmblood gelding purchased by the Con Brio Farm in 2013 from Betsy Calder of Ocala Florida. Jagger, originally going by the name Jake, was renamed by the girls because of his cool rock star attitude. Jagger is a barn favourite as he often is the first horse a new rider will sit on because of his incredibly kind nature. Jagger is also till is a regular A circuit competitor in the Medal classes, the hunter derbies, and the Jumper divisions up through 1.10m. We doubt there is another horse like him in the world and our very proud to have him in our program.
Happy Gilmore
Happy the Appy is a 12 year old 15.1hh grade gelding. Happy is the most honest little jumper you could ever come by. He is very kind and incredibly safe for riders of all ages. In his years with us we are pretty sure no one has ever fallen off him. Happy also has competed on the A circuit as a 0.9 jumper but has surprising amounts of scope in him!
Billy Madison
Billy is the ultimate farm favourite! This blue eyed wonder is just over pony sized standing at 14.3hh. Billy is as cute as they come and he knows it. Billy has a great jump, moves well, and has automatic lead changes, making him an advanced riders dream. His adorable looks, small stature and sense of humour also make him a first choice of our walk/trot riders.
